It’s pretty amazing when you stop and think about the fact that all the colors we see around us are made up but from a very few. We won’t go into detail here regarding primary colors, color theory, or visible light spectrum, after all, that’s what art school is for.
We are thankful for the paints and pens and inks and brushes that let us draw from a few elements and unfold an idea into a multitude bouquet of form and color.

Here is a logo we have loved for many years. The mark was in use back in the last century from the mid 1950’s through 1960’s.
You can live a long time and still run into stuff you’ve never heard of. Such is the case for us with ‘Roy G. Biv’ or ‘Roygbiv’. Overhearing this word mentioned, it sounded as though it was a person’s name. Indeed as it turns out, some have assumed it as their moniker, and others have named endeavors by this acronym. As you roll your eyes at us for our lack of knowledge, the meaning of Roygbiv is all the colors of the rainbow.
R – Red
O – Orange
Y – Yellow
G – Green
B – Blue
I – Indigo
V – Violet
There you have it, all the colors of the rainbow.

Scouring the crevices and corners hidden and elusive, one can find a treasure trove of exciting things.
Our first find pictured is a spool of vintage cotton drawcord. 288 yards. This cording is perfect for one of our newly designed products, the ‘Useful Drawstring Bag”. A fellow recently asked me when showing him a prototype of the UDB (Useful Drawstring Bag), ‘Who’s going to want one of those?’. My answer was that I wasn’t sure, but James Brown sang ‘Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag‘.
Everyone needs a brand new bag.
